PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Many teachers require Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to keep their teaching certificate current.  OutsideIN MS offers fun, hands-on CEU programs at our Natchez shop, your school, your church, or in local classroom areas.  Each class lasts for 5 hours, and 0.5 CEUs are awarded through Copiah-Lincoln Community College.  Join our mailing list to make sure you hear about where OutsideIN MS CEU programs being offered near you, or contact us to come and do one just for your school. Can you get three or more friends together? We'll do one at your house, church, or location of your choosing. Classes are not limited to teachers--home educators may wish to group together to have a class at the location of their choice.

CEU class fees are $25.00/person, and $20.00 for the CEU credit.

ANCIENT EGYPT

From hieroglyphs to ancient gods and goddesses, from King Tut to mummification, this program takes you on a journey through the history and culture of the both the common people and royalty of ancient Egypt.

KITCHEN CHEMISTRY

Using common household materials and ingredients, participants will learn some basic chemistry principles in a safe, hands-on class that stresses experimentation and scientific theory.

CRIME SCENE!

There's a dead body outline on the floor, and clues galore!  It's up to you and your fellow classmates to solve the mystery and discover the criminal that committed the dastardly deed!

DIY ESCAPE ROOM

Learn to make your own escape room for your classroom, or teach your students the basics of design and constructing their own.  Story line, props, locks, transition points, and mood setting are all crucial parts of a great escape room experience.

HANDS-ON HISTORIC PRESERVATION

This class will provide participants with an understanding of the culture, society, and economy of Mississippi through an examination of historically significant buildings and architectural details. We'll also be going into downtown Natchez to find some of these elements in real life.
