Now imagine you are working with your fellow participants to solve a mystery, find a treasure, or even solve a murder! It's going to take teamwork and you've got to be able to communicate what you've found, listen to other people, and arrive at an answer by consensus. Our escape room situations are neither scary, nor claustrophobic. You aren't locked into a room, and you can leave at any time--but what's the fun in that?
If the escape room isn't what you are looking for, what about a architectural scavenger hunt? These are great activities for larger groups, encouraging attention to detail, communication, and a little physical activity. They can be tailor-made for your town or location, and feature pictures only, or incorporate questions about greater details. These scavenger hunts are low-tech (meaning a paper booklet) so that even the most technology-phobic participant will be able to play.
